Agile Delivery Manager
Supporting a UK-wide network of over 5,000 local, expert technology providers, Giacom makes it really simple for technology resellers and MSPs to access everything they need to create brilliant technology solutions for UK businesses.
This role is focused on people management, effectiveness road mapping and adoption of best practices for squads across all the Giacom Platform Group and distinct functions.
What you'll be doing
As a people manager of Agile Delivery Leads, you will be responsible for:
- Recruitment and retention activities;
- Mentoring and professional growth;
- Performance management;
- Generating alignment to agreed practices, values and direction of the group.
As an effectiveness leader, you'll be responsible for:
- Incentivising a continuous improvement mindset;
- Creating, maintaining and driving execution of an effectiveness roadmap for diverse squads practices with different themes (Governance, Agile, Product Management, Engineering, DevOps);
- Define and improve a strategy and framework for delivery that fits to the diverse types of workstreams within Platform Team.
As a figure head for squad delivery, you'll be responsible for:
- Communicating clearly to audiences of various levels and backgrounds (technical/business);
- Understanding Engineering and Product's Strategy, and Goals;
- Accountable for the delivery performance of squad’s;
- Present features and implementation challenges back to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSc in Software Engineering or equivalent work experience as a SW Developer or QA engineer.
- Experience as a Lead of Technical teams - Developer or QA Lead.
- Experience growing and mentoring individuals.
- Experience of working using agile development methodologies.
- Proven success driving transformations that fit teams and organisations.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with technical and non-technical groups.
- Experience and appreciation of a wide range of methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP.
- Analytical thinker.
- Solutions focused.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and development.
- Confidently communicate clearly complex information.
