The Tooling & Training Manager is responsible for helping our organization to take most of the tooling available to our teams, with an initial focus on Atlassian – Confluence and JIRA; but with plans to expand to usage of other tools such as Copilot - MS365 and GitHub.

You will be part of a Platform Delivery and Effectiveness group, working closely with Effectiveness Analysts and Agile Delivery Managers, to understand their needs and work on solutions with their support.

What you'll be doing

• Understand requirements, research options and agree on solutions to automate or improve our internal processes using our tool-suite (JIRA, Confluence...).
• Support colleagues of varied technical level, on how-to-use the tools.
• Organise internal knowledge sharing sessions.
• Configure Atlassian Products – workflows, fields, permission schemes, plug-ins...
• Script solutions with Python and SQL to extract, transform and display data.
• Research tooling options and present potential benefits of adoption.

Your experience

• Proven experience as JIRA Administrator.
• Work experience with Python Development.
• Basic Database concepts.
• Creative and critical thinking.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrable work experience as a software developer, DevOps or Test Automation engineer is preferred.
