Accounts Payable Administrator

We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team in Nelson.
In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time, maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external vendors, and helping us keep our financial processes running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
Managing Accounts Payable inboxes and responding to queries from suppliers and team members.
Investigating and resolving invoice, payment and account discrepancies.
Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate supplier ledgers.
Preparing and processing multi-currency payments, including BACS, CHAPS and bank transfers.
Supporting daily banking activities and payment allocations.
Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries promptly.
Supporting month-end activities, KPI reporting and audit requirements.
Processing employee expense claims (full training provided).
Identifying potential risks or fraudulent activity and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Your Experience
Previous experience within a busy Accounts Payable or finance administration environment.
Experience processing high volumes of invoices accurately.
Working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems.
Strong Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
The confidence to investigate and resolve complex queries.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
A team-focused attitude combined with the ability to work independently.
A professional approach when handling confidential information.
